Wheat sensitivities can result in weight gain, depression, fatigue,  arthritis, eczema, sinusitis and IBS

Food Allergies and Sensitivities

A food sensitivity is the body’s delayed reaction to certain food proteins such as those found in dairy, wheat, eggs, soy or corn, among others.  A reaction may surface in any number of ways:  dermatitis, runny nose, chronic mucus production, fatigue, depression, haze, arthritis, asthma, or digestive disorders such as gas, bloating, heartburn, diarrhea or constipation.

Food sensitivities are determined by removing suspected allergenic foods for a certain period of time.   If multiple foods are suspected, an Elimination Diet may be recommended.

Elimination Diet

The Elimination Diet is the gold standard for detecting food sensitivities.  It involves removing all known allergenic foods from the diet for 2 weeks, then bringing them back one at a time to detect a reaction.

The Elimination Diet is highly restrictive, physically demanding and can take an extended period of time to complete.  Given this, it is not for everyone, and should be supervised by a skilled professional.  FoodLogic offers an Elimination Diet package which supports you through the entire elimination process.
